How to call for a firetruck and ambulance

Sakai City Fire Bureau is now able to provide 119 call- and on-the-scene interpretation for foreign residents, exchange students, tourists etc. in five languages.

Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Call 119 as normal. When you start speaking in English (or Chinese, Korean, Spanish or Portuguese), the operator will set up a three way call with an interpreter.The three-way call can take a few seconds to set up (around 10 seconds), during which time the caller should wait on the line.
