Ceremony
Present at the award ceremony were Ms. Wang Ching-feng, President of the Taiwan Red Cross Organization (Grand Prize recipient) and Mr. Tomo Matsui, children’s author (Encouragement Prize recipient). The recipients were presented with memorial award certificates and plaques by Mayor Osami Takeyama.
After the ceremony, a Peace Concert was performed by the Wirbel String Quartet and a commemorative speech was given by President Wang. The event was attended by some 300 visitors.
Flowers were presented to the award recipients by students from Osaka Prefectural Mikunigaoka High School
