This is a guideline specific to Sakai to keep citizens informed on the COVID-19 situation and prevent further spread. Sakai Signal is issued weekly through city’s website etc. It has three stages (Observation, Caution and Warning) that change in accordance with the city’s own criteria based on the total number of infections with untraceable sources during the previous week. The Sakai Signal is closely linked with the Osaka Model, however its stages may shift independently in case of infections being spotted focally inside the city.

Sakai Style

This initiative is intended to encourage the practice of a new life and work style to delay and mitigate the second wave of COVID-19. It is based on the New Lifestyle announced by the government.
38 pictograms of preventive actions can be downloaded for free so please use them at home, workplaces, restaurants etc. to prevent infections.
