The 2nd SAKAI Peace Contribution Award Ceremony

Attendees of the ceremony

• Mr. Motoi Tauchi, the Grand Prize recipient
  Senior Director of Kokoro-no Kazoku, a social welfare corporation;
• Ms. Agalyn Nagase, the Encouragement Prize recipient
  General Manager of KAFIN, a Filipino mutual aid organization; and
• Ms. Mayumi Karako, also an Encouragement Prize recipient
  Founder of the NGO, LALA ASSOCIATION for Afghan Orphan Support.

The recipients were presented with memorial prize certificates and plaques by Mayor Osami Takeyama. After the ceremony, a Peace Concert was performed by the Wirbel String Quartet, together with a commemoration speech by Mr. Tauchi. The event was attended by more than 300 visitors.
