Richu-ryo Tumulus: Standard-Bearer for Mozu

Richu-ryo Tumulus is also known as Mozunomimihara-no-minami-no-misasagi and Misanzai Tumulus. Consisting of a keyhole-shaped mound 360 meters in length, Richu-ryo is Japan's third largest tumulus. The site was originally surrounded by some ten smaller tumuli known as baicho, and it is thought to have been constructed during the first half of the fifth century.
